Conjunctivitis is an eye disease where eyes can become red and inflamed, they may also be itchy and watery. Eyelids can swell and sufferers may experience a burning and/or gritty sensation. Conjunctivitis can also be accompanied by cold-like symptoms, such as, a running nose or sore throat, for example. Conjunctivitis is easily treated at home or by over-the-counter medicines.
