Varilux Physio F-360 Launch Event

Essilor marked the launch of Varilux Physio f-360°™ and Visioffice, the Universal Measuring System at a prestigious Essilor Honours Club customer event at Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicester on 3rd April 2008. The event, organised by Essilor's Marketing Department was attended by over 200 guests.

During the afternoon, the guests enjoyed a welcome from Michel Boinet, Managing Director and presentations from Essilor UK Staff, including Justin Rocyn Jones, Product Manager and Andy Hepworth, Professional Relations Manager. Essilor International's Bruno Decreton who was heavily involved in the development of the new lens also gave a presentation. Special guest speaker was Mr Bernard Maitenaz, inventor or progressive lenses and Varilux who delighted the audience with tales of his vision and the technological adventure which eventually led him to his succeed.

In the afternoon session guests were also given workshop style demonstrations on how to measure the five parameters required for dispensing Varilux Physio f-360°, using both the Visiioffice Universal Measuring System and the hand held measuring device.

The event continued into the evening with a champagne reception, followed by a gala dinner. Harinder Paul from the Visioncare Charity took the stage after dinner with a special charity appeal before handing over to the Comedy Store Players who, using audience interaction, gave a hilarious and very pleasing performance.

Essilor is very pleased with the success of the event which confirms its commitment to providing innovative and high quality products that continue to be ground breaking.
