6th GENERATION OF UNIVERSAL VARILUX

Varilux Physio is the result of one of the most dramatic technological developments in the history of varifocals. The leap in design of the lens is one thing, the technological challenge in manufacture is quite another. The design innovation is our 'Wavefront Management System' . This technology has enabled lens designers to approach the elimination of aberrations by correcting distortion of the light wave as it passes through the surface of the lens.

The manufacturing innovation is point-by-point twinning which allows us to calculate the back surface of the lens point by point, to ensure it matches perfectly with the front side for each direction of gaze.

Advanced digital surfacing (freeform) is used to produce the back side, when the prescription requires it. We call this 'High Resolution Vision'. The difference is immediate and noticeable with better sharpness, a wider field of vision and greater postural comfort. 

Varilux Physio is going to make a great difference to the standards of performance you can now offer to your patients. The lens is positioned at the top of the universal Varilux range, which is comprised of Varilux Panamic, Varilux Comfort, Varilux Ellipse and Varilux Liberty.
